Short term insurances does not cover maternity

u have to enroll in healthcare.gov plans or employer insurance or cobra

Without insurance u can take insurance provided by hospital

if u don’t want to do that then you might end paying around 20,000-25,000$ total from your pocket

Amount majorly depends the cost of living (medical care) in your area and also medical/ health complexity of mother and child

hospitals will usually give discount in bills if there is no insurance. You can discuss with billing department and they will ask u start a monthly plan so that u can start paying them every month etc.

ICSE and CBSE schools will do as u need to provide birth certificate to prove kid has reached age to start schooling

Yes. By law they are supposed to provide you health care

experts can suggest though

if u r in first trimester then delivery will be next year so take insurance starting Jan 2022 and it will cover you for some extent

I don’t think U can take insurance now as enrollment closed in December 2020

you can enroll in Dec 2021 for 2022 year insurance

usually we browse plans and buy from https://www.healthcare.gov

A change in your situation — like getting married, having a baby, or losing health coverage — that can make you eligible for a Special Enrollment Period, allowing you to enroll in health insurance outside the yearly Open Enrollment Period.

You need to submit your case and they will review and approve … try it out !!!
