Villa - we think security, gated community, neat and clean maintenance, class of people together etc. But actually if you think, a villa is rearranged luxury apartment on the ground level .. similar community, gate, same restrictions as you have in apartments. 

If you lived in apartments in Hyd, you must have gone through the issues. Small groups, non-cooperation of others, few people having high influence all decisions .. its a hell hole in many places. Villas, I hear similar stories too now a days from some friends. 

Both of them - we are stuck with people forever, like it or hate it !!

While independent house seem to be preferable in this case, free access, no restrictions, you are on your own to chose from your street to be aligned with. 

One can say it depends heavily on the type of locality (IT or general or upscale areas etc), a point to take too !

Lets see how our group thinks on this topic ! keep it coming folks !! 

I prefer independent house always bro whether in US or India...

I am enjoying the freedom of living in an independent house

coming to India, was planning to buy an apartment but once I measured the pros and cons, decided to construct my own house in the land we have in hyd...

If you have all your brothers, sisters and relatives close by, go for individual house. Otherwise villah. Gated community lo one big advantage - social life, especially for children and retired people.

Villas are waste if you are not living there , apt also rental returns are very minimal , you will be better off in land/independent house in the long run..

independent house always better, villa's and apartments no freedom.... anni politics ada kuda , bokollo positions ki... anni M rules pedtaru..ratri dostulu not allowed anataru , lolli cheyadhu anatru, initi mundhu yaata ni koyadhu anataru.. ani latkoor rules

Okay, nenu cheppe gated community different le. Cricket stadium, indoor tennis court, foot ball court, gyn and chala open places unna communities..

I think its always good to purchase land, especially if you are not planning to live in the house, be it india or usa - if for investment purpose for now you can purchase land and raise a small or mid size hut (village style) and rent it out to rule out land grabs.  allowing residents with proper documentation will safe guard your investment with little to some returns on the residential property, where as ur land will keep on appraising as appropriate

Manchi luxury and amenities kavali ante villa better in good gated community. Pool , club house, cricket ground, functional hall ila Vunnadi me parents ki best.
