Anta Assamey Posted June 25, 2021 Report Posted June 25, 2021 It looks like Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided on his next chief secretary. Though initially it was thought that incumbent CS Adithyanath Das, who is scheduled to retire on June 30, would get extension, it may not happen given the present developments in the state. The Central government had issued orders on Friday releasing senior IAS officer of 1985 batch, Sameer Sharma, to his parent State. Sameer Sharma is now the Director General of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs working in the Central government. The Central government orders said that Sharma was released repatriated to his parent state on the request of the AP government. This would mean that Sharma would be the next chief secretary of the state. Meanwhile, it is said that though Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted to give one extension to Adithyanath Das, it deferred it following a letter given by TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, against giving extension.
