As long as the world is not fully vaccinated, You will keep seeing variants.. The more it spreads the more it has chance to form new variants... We can only hope that it doesn't become a dangerous variant ...

They did very well with contact tracing and were able to isolate the infected people… their experience with previous outbreaks definitely helped them… they restricted travel into the mainland… only vaccinated people with a negative Covid test can travel to China from many months.. 

US, of all the countries, couldn’t even start contact tracing due to privacy issues… and couldn’t even mandate a Covid test for allowing people into the country…

Political will unte control cheyyadam easy ani chala countries prove chesayi…. If they restrict travel from outside countries and isolate the infected people, it is easy to control.. look at Australia and New Zealand for example.. China has the political will… and people follow what the government says…
