Take home lo 30-40 % pettochhu… have 3 months of reserves… make sure that you contribute at least 10% of your salary to your 401k too.. 

of course, I know people who are paying 60% of their take home to mortgage… to each their own calculations of course..

Eee market lo emi chepalemu bro my friend bought by paying 10% down at mountain house 18 months back for 630 the same house is going 880k now , antha mortgage pay cheyadam at mountain house not good ani andaru anaru including me

But end result he did good so no one can tell in this Maya market

Forget interest rates point it will go down or it might come up its always fluctuating 

House buying ki especially last 12 months there is no logic the way they went up especially in some areas of the bay adi cheptuna people made 250k in some areas within just 12 months

Some areas like mountain house 35% in 18 months can you imagine?? No investor or any relaestate guru has predicted this even many were  laughing at people buying 650 at mountain house including me 

Matter of 5 months lo dublin pleasantoj lo 200k overbid I am.trying to say there is no logic some times luck matters

depends on the state and property tax too. for example VA lo 1% tax ayithe Texas lo 2% tax. Remember its a big amount. 600k home first case lo ayithe permonth 500 tax paduthundi ade TX lo ayithe 1k paduthundi. Total EMI chusuko. Banks general ga upto 60% of ur monthly in hand pay ki loans vasthai. But not advisable.
