POOLA RANGADU Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 this is bad for H-1B holders already in US. Also. L-1s wil increase as they will need to be brought into US instead of the jobs going to them.

EVERYTHING is measured in terms of MONEY in US. this is a CORPORATE market. Indian IT influence...my shiz..they dont care a damn dime abt it. No:2 : FIRING H-1 guys ..meaning, they can meet the market demand without the H-1B quota. This is only possible 2 ways. either the Americans master IT and meet the market demand ( although pay is good., americans are not jsut after money..they dont want to toil in front of a dumb machine..and spend their rest of life..they are more outdoor people and have different line of interests. They want machines to work for them..not the other way round). or ..the companies have to bring in mor e and more L-1s from INDIA and host them here. (Meaning they pay in Indian currency ..so lower rates comapred to H-1B and a little hihgher comapred to Indian salaries). However, the foreign graduates in US now have 27 months of OPT and also their GREEN CARD PROCESSING under EB-2 is speeding up as per OBAMA' govt's bill. So, when comapred to lifestyle, exposure and communciation skills and localization with culture, games and religion aspect of it...American Graduates ( foreign students who gradaute from US schools are faaaaaar better than top notch IIT graduates of Indian geeks.)So, the question of keeping H-1Bs away for a long time is not a feasible solution. Besides, why should we drink US Toilet as Holy water? cant we INNOVATE? cant we RESEARCH? cant we INVENT? cant we be SELF RELIABLE? cant we LEAD instead of being led? IT sector of INDIA brings in less than 15 % of the GROSS GDP revenue. It is the MANUFACTURING, SHIPPING , EX-IM, AGRICULTURE, TEXTILE, MINING and other Industrial sectors that bring in the LION;s share of REVENUE.
