Ravi announced on his Twitter feed that he had watched Clementi and another man on a webcam. Clementi is presumed to have committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge last week. NJ.com community members are reacting to the news. From ewrpex87:"Maybe parents and school districts in NJ ought to be less concerned with what is sold in vending machines at school and more concerned with teaching the notion of moral character and right/wrong. This is now the second incident in NJ where a crime was committed and a video shown to numerous young people. How many of those who saw the video reported it? Probably the same number of kids in Summit who reported the video of a man beaten to death."Reply to this post by going to its location in the comment thread.NJ.com member njtreker had this to say:"It makes me physically ill that the perpetrators face a maximum 5 year sentence if convicted. Our laws need to catch up with technology. Just like film and television any film posted on the internet should be required to get a release from everyone in the work. In the case of sexually explicit material which is covered by the first amendment it should be a major felony to post such material without written permission and the host providers such as YouTube should be required to verify permission and ages when sexually explicit material is posted."
