Looks politically motivated, but it is easier to stir up riots when there are large income gaps in populations. More than a million Indians live there and own shops/ business iirc. Easy target as they are little better off than the natives - not as rich as the whites though.

First of all they are recognized as a different race in South Africa. For all intentions and purposes they are South Africans only. Many emigrated years ago. They are not ‘new’ immigrants. Even if that were the case, highly skilled/business minded immigrants are a little well off in their own regions and mostly richer than the poor in the countries that they are emigrating to. Moreover, for immigrants in general, the focus is on financial stability and improving their own wealth. The guy in the video is corrupt, but we  can’t really say the same about every South African of Indian descent. A lot of it is politically motivated and they have been targeted in the cross fire.

Most of those rich guys are Gujjus. Their crony capitalism India lo work ayyindhi. Vere countries lo kooda alane chestham ante kudharadhu kadha. They have been doing that in SA from long time. They need to change with the times. Otherwise ilanti roits ekkuva jaruguthuntayi.

During Aparthied Cricket and Rugby were played only by the whites. Blacks did not have access to grounds/equipment. They were mostly restricted to soccer. Only recently did they start having representation because of affirmative action. Andhuke ala anipisthadi.

There is income inequality among South African Indians too. Tamils are the largest population in SA. 50- 75% of the South African Indians are of Tamil descent. They get  bunched together with the Rich Indians and get treated unfairly. Gujaratis are like 10% of the lot and are pretty rich.
