Athletics Update - Tajinderpal Singh Toor fails to qualify for the men's shot put final

India's Tajinderpal Singh Toor had a terrible outing in the men's shot put qualification round as he failed to reach the final after registering a below-par 19.99m as his best throw. Toor came up with the mark in his first attempt before producing two foul throws in his next two attempts. The distance put him at 13th position in the 16-man field in his group. 15 more throwers will compete for a spot in the final in the group B later in the day.
