I don't understand how naive you people are. 

Except LA Olympics , all other events held in the last 50 years were net loss making efforts that brought no positive effect to the greater host community as a whole. 

Tokyo Olympics is a huge disaster that 80% of Japanese oppose,  London Olympics made a small profit but every economist argued that money would be better spent on improving other infrastructure , Brazil Olympics huge disaster almost collapsed the economy

The city that hosted it went into financial emergency , whole country as a whole has not posted good growth  due to wasteful expenditure of two mega events(Olympics & football). 

Common wealth games involved almost 1,00,000 crores expenditure , mostly by indian government on an already rich province . Huge amount of wealth transferred from poorer parts of india to create  delhi infrastructure. 

70,000 crores was diverted to mostly foreign offshore accounts

What sort of positive effect happened ? Whole world saw nothing but substandard infrastructure and was ridiculed in international media. 

Without creating necessary infrastructure Olympics or any other event is just an avenue for corruption and useless publicity

Not even a single city in AP has proper sewage treatment plants , all the drainage flows Into rivers that downstream people drink . Yes even in vijaywada drainage openly flows into Krishna 

And you want to host an exhorbiant event that has shown to bring no benefit to most people.  You have your priorities straight
