if its same airport of transfer .. no visa required ...

whether u can land and transfer due to covid regulations... am not sure

don't travel with BA, They will dump u in mumbai and you will be in airport without any direction

best bet try calling them again and again unless you got your answer. 

sometimes all reps are not good, sometimes you get lucky and get good reps. at this moment calling BA customer care is your best bet, good luck

avoided all that confusion and travelling through Air India.
