r2d2 Posted August 3, 2021 Report Posted August 3, 2021 Juanita Koilpillai, 58, was found dead outside her Maryland home on July 25. Her son Andrew Beavers, 23, who lived with her in Tracy's Landing, was charged with her murder on July 31. He had been discovered driving her car the day after her murder, with what appeared to be the murder weapon in his car. Analysis of the knife found both his and his mother's DNA on the weapon. He was arrested in Virginia and is awaiting extradition to Maryland. Juanita Koilpillai, 58, was described by colleagues as 'a genius'. Born in Sri Lanka, she moved to the U.S. in the early 1980s to study at the University of Kansas, and blazed a trail in the largely white, male sector - eventually founding a firm that counted the federal government among its clients.
