pay is dependent on box office standing. telugu movies are hero centric or run on hero stardom. heroines are needed but replaceable commodity. there will be very few heroines who command loyal followers but they fade after few movies. there might be few exceptions but movies  generally don't run based a particular heroine so its not possible for equal pay

No harm in taking high remuneration. They deserve it.

They are already getting equal pay if they act with new heroes. 

Samantha acted in "Oh baby" may be she got more pay than the hero of that movie. Same for Anushka in Arundathi/Bhagmanthi

Equal work equal pay. Ippudu kontha mandi comedians or side characters ki or villains ki almost same screen space as heroines untundi and they won’t be paid as much. Mari vallu em anali
