In recent weeks, top Taliban leaders have been on a whirlwind international tour, visiting Iran, Russia and China.

China has reportedly promised big investments in energy and infrastructure projects, including the building of a road network in Afghanistan and is also eyeing the country's vast, untapped, rare-earth mineral deposits. And Beijing was already reportedlypreparing to formally recognize the Taliban before the group seized control of the country.

The Taliban see China as a source of international legitimacy, a potential economic supporter and a means of influence over Pakistan, a Chinese ally that has aided the group," according to The Wall Street Journal

China agrees always they had investment projects all over the world... But the point is Afghanistan under Taliban won't be vassal state like pakistan to china.....

already cpec is becoming an economic disaster they wont dare to enter afg. these meetings are for chinese workers safety in cpec as taliban killed few chinese recently

CPEC is disaster for Pakistan not for China AFAIK.

China dumping more n more cheap stuff in pak.

China will get as many as minerals they want from talibanstan.. China will profit from every step

first china estimated 46 billion dollars. that has now shot up to 70 billion with several projects delayed and now china banks are unable to fund. pak has nothing to buy from china including their dump. talibanistan has no minerals for expoiting only poppy fields left which they sell to drug mafia
