If someone likes shirt #42, it's their choice. There is no right or wrong decision here, there is only the question of choice.

No Telugu is a language. It immideately ties to you 100 million other people because you can immideately understand them and communciate with them provding a basis for a tangible social relations. IN other words it is a meaningful identity.

What you're speaking of is a language, not an identity. Your language doesn't define your identity, your culture defines your identity. Being Indian has more to do with your culture than what you speak. I can relate with other Indians because of the shared cultural values even though they don't speak Telugu.

Yea the shared cultural values of caste i suppose. How can you relate to anyone if you dont even speak each other language. Either you need to learn their language or both need to learn english.  Thats not really "relating". You can do that much relating with anyone in the world.

Ofcourse you can relate, what the heck are you even talking about. You relate because you have had the same culture growing up, you don't need the same language to feel connected, your values define who you're, not your language. Are you saying that the only thing that makes you who you're, the only thing that defines you, the only thing that means the most to you is your language, that's pure bullshit.
