Rakhi is one way to express Sister's love..you don't need to hindu or north indian for that expression, you can be chinese christian muslim ... or even a pig .

The worst culture is that holi. I still remember in hyd - street rowdy gallu parigetthukuntu vacchi aa edhava rangulu kottevaaru. Crude culture with sexual  molestation also.
