I know some people does during their periods. But most of the people will not do that .... Migatha annni vishayallo I completely agree that there’s no need of keeping them away for everything during that time period. Kani atleast few things konchem ippatiki irrespective of caste Hindus follow avtharu ... aa 3 days deeparadhana kani , puja kani cheyykapodam its perfectly right to chant few mantras like vishnu sahasranamam kani .... konni like lalitha sahasranamam lantivi kuda vinakudadhu antaru Quote
Spartan Posted August 25, 2021 Report Posted August 25, 2021 over the period of time, the concept of un-touchability moved away from practical reasoning to caste based ... initial days lo untouchable was not because of his caste, but due to the cleaning work someone used to do (it can be any person, irrespective of caste).. to avoid any germ and infection... over the period that cleaning work got assigned to on sub set of caste, and the caste took predominance over the scientific reason...and that is what we are seeing now. 2 Quote

Maybe back in the day, there weren't good quality sanitary pads. Now a days, tampons and sanitary pads are pretty good, you wouldn't know if a girl is on her period unless she is acting out. What's wrong if she prays? Quote
