Afghanistan is communist government in 1970's , people use to have rights and backing of USSR (now Russia), suddenly cold War started btw US and Russia 

US made friendship with Pakistan 

US started war against Russia in Afghanistan by supporting taliban and sending millions of dollars from its ally Saudi arabia to taliban, taliban grew stronger and occupied Afghanistan.... Here comes the important thing

To fight against communist USSR, US used local mullahs and taliban to radicalize people by teaching Islamic verses in Arabic and indoctrinated them....

Here comparison is between US and USSR regime. USSR regime killed more afghans, and women had about the same amount of freedom perhaps.
