CBC will tell the platelet count and takes 30mins to get the result.

Results will not be given out to the patient, but PCP will get it the same day

if it is COVID, rapid takes minutes( false negative ocche chance undi)

PCR- >24hrs

It's not covid.

Patient travelled back recently from India.

Extended family in India were sick with dengue like symptoms.

They got better but Patient in US self admitted due to high fever and they are not able to figure it out yet.

Then don't worry. Doc will take care of it.  Will take time for dengue testing but platelets should be daily. They will check the platelet count daily while in the hospital.
