Should be positive news for the stock since ford india has been loss making operation for some time now. The optics are not good(exiting a 1.3 bil people market ) but the reality is Ford has cut losses in a stagnant market (indian PV sales have been flat for last 5 years ) 1 Quote

I will go further and say ford ecosport/figo are the cheapest vehicle to service / maintain in its segment Please stop making such blanket statements Correct. Ford vehicles are preferred by lot of people for purely maintenance reason. very easy and cheap. hyundai/maruti are more expensive to maintain than ford. i believe ford is sufferring sales growth due to too much taxes on New Vehicle purchase like 35% taxes alone. monna evaro annaru Hector Vehicle 12 lacs price ani chooshte additional ga 45% taxes ee unnayi anta. OUt the door 19 lacs adigaru anta Hector SUV in showroom. ee range lo taxes unte sales peragavu inka. 1 Quote

hyperbole Posted September 9, 2021 Report Posted September 9, 2021 My dad drove a Ford eco sport until he bought a Creta. he hates Creta in comparison to eco sport, he regretted selling it. For a reason it was a top selling compact SUV. Sad to see them go. VW, GM, Harley and now Ford Quote

Ilanti goosebumps comments thagisthe manchidhi , Ford's exit has nothing to do with competition. Tata Nano is discontinued since 2 years They have been in india for a long time and projected by 2020 india would be selling 10 million cars but indian PV sales have peaked in 2018 at 3.3 mil and have been falling ever since It says a lot more about indian economy , ford thinks india and Brazil no longer have any promise of growth in the near future Quote
