desi brands like tata, maruthi ki employment peragacchu kada. may be they lobbied . 

 

somebody has to produce the cars, I don't think jobs will be away. they will comeback with different compnay.

Toyata is in partnership (JV) with Maruti Suzuki, Ford tried to have JV with M& M but didn't go thrutried other JVs but didn't go thru so decided to stop production.

GM left 4 yrs back and fiat stopped long back but used to supply diesel engines to Maruti but now with MS stopped diesel variants from BS6, Fiat now are only doing Jeep Compass model but don't know long it will stand.
