After the news of him and Nayantara settled, he started looking Trisha's way. But it didn't workout. Trisha publicly announced that Simbhu is her friend and he doesn't possess any qualities she is looking for in a boyfriend.Of late, Simbhu is showering attention on Anushka. The two stars in Vaanam, the Tamil version of the Telugu hit Vedham. Simbhu has openly claimed he is an ardent fan of Anushka and that he is awestruck at her ability to carry a movie on her shoulders. "I am a fan of Anushka's and I am really excited to be doing this film with her. As both of us happen to be good dancers, there is a special song in the film featuring both of us and take my word, it is going to be one of its kind," he says.It is heard that Simbhu forced director to add the song with Anushka which is not there in original Telugu version. Anushka who hesitated to act with Simbhu initially is maintaining safe distance from Simbhu as of now.
