Move to Houston, good decision?

Hows the weather and job opportunities near houston? planning to move to Katy,TX from Seattle. Looking for warm to mild weather . Please shed some light on bhayyas?

currently working remote, so no issues for now until office mandates in person work.

Anyone locals to Katy / sugarland /richmond? Looks like it has good schools . But not sure of colleges. 

some frnds recommend, NC but weather wise it seems similar to Seattle. Pls share your experience / inputs.
