Suggestion about buying properties

I recently bought 3 properties in india all debt free, and gained profit of 35 lakhs within 2 months as the prices soared. 

So, i am thinking to invest some in USA too like buying a home or townhouse, do you think buying a house in US will yield as much as in indian real estate?

or should buying home in USA should be treated as a living expense rather than profit accumulation? I have good knowledge on indian real estate and know nothing about US real estate
