dasari4kntr Posted October 7, 2021 Report Posted October 7, 2021 AlgoExpert vs. HackerRank vs. LeetCode Until today, there are a lot of platforms that offering algorithm questions and mocking interview questions. Out of so many, I have picked three popular platforms, AlgoExpert, HackerRank, and LeetCode, to compare their difference. AlgoExpert AlgoExpert was co-founded by Clément Mihailescu, who worked for Facebook and Google as Software Engineer. Currently, it is offering three courses and two interview bundles: AlgoExpert — $99/year SystemsExpert — $99/year MLExpert — $99/year Tech Interview Bundle — $128/year ML Interview Bundle — $199/year When you purchase multiple products, you will automatically receive 25% bundle discounts. Unfortunately, it is not a one-time purchase. You only have 1-year of access after purchase. Unlike HackerRank and LeetCode, AlgoExpert doesn’t have a community, neither official nor unofficial. AlgoExpert has 160 coding interview questions in 15 categories and still counting. Clement and Tim Ruscica (a.k.a Tech with Tim) are the instructors for the questions. They are very confident those questions are giving you a high chance to ace the interviews. Besides Coding Interview Questions, they also offer a Data Structure Crash Course with thirteen videos, four Coding Interview Assessments, five videos for Coding Interview Tips, and Mock Interview Questions. You can mock an interview with a random AlgoExpert user or a friend. AlgoExpert’s code editor There are Prompt, Scratchpad, Solution(s), and Video Explanation in each question. The code editor has the option for keymaps in Vim, Sublime, and Emacs. Supporting nine programming languages, which are C++, C#, Go, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Python, Swift, and TypeScript LeetCode Winston Tang found LeetCode in 2015. LeetCode offers both free and premium versions. Premium cost at $35/month and $159/year. With premium, You will have access to exclusive premium content and extra functions on LeetCode. Until today, it has over 1800+ problems and still counting. LeetCode has a vast community, both official and unofficial. In each problem, there is a discussion. Users share their solutions, idea, explanation, etc. LeetCode allows interviewers to create ten interview questions per month for their hiring process. Three free Mock Assessments and 24 premium by FAANG-level companies. Besides that, LeetCode also has a weekly contest. LeetCode’s code editor LeetCode’s code editor supports 18 programming languages. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a dark mode for the editor. HackerRank HackerRank was found by Vivek Ravisankar and Hari Karunanidhi in 2009. It targets both developers and employers. HackerRank is free for developers, and there are four pricing plans for employers. There is no information about how many problems in HackerRank, but most problems are contributed by users, and all the Contests are created by users. HackerRank also has discussions on each problem, but the UI doesn’t look good compared to LeetCode. Besides, HackerRank provides Skills Certification for Angular, C#, Go, CSS, etc. After you complete the test, you will be able to apply to jobs on HackerRank. There is a Jobs Board page, but the location is only a few. HackerRank’s code editor HackerRank’s code editor supports over 40 programming languages. It covered all the existing programming languages. Conclusion Three platforms have their unique parts. In my perspective, if you are preparing to ace the FAANG-level companies’ interview. AlgoExpert is the best choice because it was built for that, but LeetCode’s premium version is also pretty good in this case. HackerRank and LeetCode’s free version is best for you if you want to train your algorithm skill as both have leaderboards, contests, and communities. AlgoExpert and LeetCode are not expensive because if you could work for FAANG-level company, the return is almost 100x of what you spent. However, there is no point in wasting money on these if you only want to learn or practice, don’t lie to yourself that you will complete the questions once you spend. Quote

I would suggest to follow Blind 75, Algo expert and Leetcode's company based list Amazon asks from Leetcode's list most of the time Other companies a level above ask based on internal list, but the above should suffice Blind 75 here https://leetcode.com/discuss/general-discussion/460599/blind-75-leetcode-questions 1 3 Quote
