State government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy told reporters later that it was a fact that the employees were not getting their salaries on time due to financial crisis.

“Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the revenues of the state had come down considerably and this resulted in a severe financial crisis, which has in turn had an impact on payment of salaries to the employees,” he explained.

Stating that employees are the pillars of the government, Sajjala said without their support, the government cannot function and implementation of welfare schemes was not possible. They are part of the family of the chief minister, he said.

“That is the reason why the Jagan government has been giving a lot of importance to the employees. Without even waiting for a request from them, the chief minister announced interim relief for them pending implementation of PRC,” he pointed out.

Sajjala assured that all the issues of the employees including the PRC implementation would be resolved by this month end.

“We shall continue the discussions with the employees and find a solution to their problems from time to time,” he said.

The advisor said hereafter, the government would give top priority to payment of salaries to the employees on time.

“From November 1, they would get salaries on the first day of every month,” he assured.

weren't these same employee who voted massively for this Jagan LK, they can go and chuck themselves now
