See nation wide 90% of natural gas plants are sitting idle and many are in the process of converting them to thermal. natural gas is used for various other industries if it's Available . Andhra simply doesn't have supply of natural gas , only imported Lng Is available . That too is scarce because we don't have lng terminals As far as I know krishnapatnam BPCL is the only LNG terminal in Andhra , that too was only construted last year Quote

Andhra doesn't even get 5% of kg basin gas Preferential allotment might have happened considering ga requirements in Maharashtra and Gujarat and of course political clout too. ONGC May had preferential supply to MH/Guj…Assam oil fields Lo kuda preferential allotment vunde vundochu… I remember, even AP had preferential allocation of KG basin gas from GSPC but that well isn't production any gas I believe.. Anyway, the point is that AP cannot stake claim to any gas found in the KG basin unless it’s part of the production or distribution partner or had a corporation. At the best, preferential allotment.. Was there any other government apart from TRS since 2014? Badadri (1800MW) power plants were completed in record time and commissioned in 2018, massive solar investments came in, the solar install capacity went from 100MW to 4000MW which is like first or second in the country. Also they made long term agreements with chattiagadh to buy 1000MW at very cheap rates. Telangana will become much more power surplus in next 3 years by another 10,000 MW hike. Works for 1,600 MW new power station at Ramagundam NTPC (which has a total capacity of 4,000 MW) and 4,000 MW power station at Yadadri are on the verge of completion. Besides, 800 MW from Singareni, 809 MW from Central Generating Stations (CGS), 1,584 MW solar power and 90 MW hydel power too will be added .yadadri plant will create a record in the country, as no other State has constructed 4,000 MW ultra mega power plant, so far. Only badadri is answering my question. And thats only 1800 MW. 4000 MW yadadri yet to be completed, NTPC is delhi Quote
