pay and take extra luggage is what I did.

personal item lo each airlines has its own rule...AI lo laptop bag and carry on separate ga allowed. But Emirates, Etihad/Qatar lo either carryon leda laptop bag, you cannot carry both. Check-in aithe anni same rules.

I think AI for first time student visa holders flying out of India aithe, 3rd checkin bag free unde. Dont know if this is still valid.

When I flew with Etihad 2 yrs back I remember carrying both carryon and laptop bag mari. Not sure when they were changed. 

AA aithe idhi varaku carryon, personal item and cross body bag kuda em anakapothunde. But later they started questioning.

I dont remember exactly but either Eithad or Qatar only one item (carryon or backpack)....yeah I heard AI too is questioning these days. But valla website lo aithe clear ga mention chesaru you can carry both ani.

Qatar and Emirates both allow only one item...Gola pedithe they let you carry two items but weight matram 7kgs allowed
