Spend some money and buy celestron nexstar 5 6 or 8. Without auto tracking it is very hard to spot objects for amateurs. Good thing is that it has good resale value too.

I bought orion IT8 

for 750 and sold it after 5 years for 890 

It was huge telescope 6 feet and was very good 

 

I just couldn’t carry it all the time 

so buy something you can carry
