It is not brainless - it is clear sense of priorities GoI always had. Lighter you skin color and neared to hindi/urdu the more consideration you will get. The more cagey they are before harming you. The most controversial state division in india is Ap as the most developed part wanted move away along with capital - it is literally kicking out one part of the state. india did it in one  day and immediately forgot about the promises to kicked out state. They dont dare do that rosy cheeked kashmiris even when they are muslims who killed thousands of indian soldiers.

at this point, its immaterial what becomes of any sort of political rearrangement. Just do whatever, but withdraw troops from the area and let people live their lives. finding ways to make that happen instead of bs'ing about statehood and union territory bs.

how is it immaterial? and what happened "at this point" ? it shows the actions of GoI which taxes all of us. how are its actions immaterial ? no self respecting person will be willing to live under the whims of a govt. govt must be based on laws and principles that apply equally to all.

the first thing people in J&K need is lifting of occupation. not empty promise of statehood, which is not even going to be implemented.

if you are more worried about taxpayers of India, than about J&K people, I don't know what to say.

i am concerned about goI ra. yes if you give us independence from this $hitty GoI then i dont have to worry about its shenanigans. Nothing is happening right now about indepdence of kashmir. the thread is about Goi action on statehood for j and k.
