We have a winner! Lucknow, Ahmedabad new IPL cities

Breaking news: The Sanjiv Goenka-led RPSG group has won the bid for Lucknow at INR 7000 crore while Private Equity firm CVC have won the bid for Ahmedabad.

The IPL 2022 will have 74 matches - 70 league and four playoffs. The season will follow the same format as in 2011 when IPL had ten teams. The franchises will be divided into two groups of five each

 

Exact winning bid amounts:

RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group: 7,090 crore.

CVC Capital: Rs 5600 crore

Team selection is bad to begin with .. Turned out to be even worse after IPL with players form...

Positives:

Young talent like Ruturaj gaikwad ,ishan kishan , surya kumar , venkatesh iyer , Harshal , varun etc lanti players are getting noticed just bcoz of IPL , their lives will be settled even before getting in to national team 

Even Jadeja,Raina , Rohit , hardik lanti players ki IPL performances helped a lot to show case all rounder skills

Poor players who may never get chance in national side also getting decent money

Emerging player awards also help a lot find some great talent

Young players are able to share room with international and top players and great coaches like ricky ponting & learning how to handle pressure etc 

Negatives:

Not everyone who performed well in IPL on indian pitches may not repeat same magic on home away pitches

Too many options also sometimes force you to pick wrong squad

India never won T20I worldcup once IPL started - cant say IPL is reason but it is what it is
