A sign language interpreter was pushed out of the way by New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern at a Covid press conference on the weekend sparking backlash from viewers. The 'awkward' moment was shared to TikTok on Saturday showing the 41-year-old speaking to reporters before stepping away from the microphone and directly in front of the interpreter.  Ms Ardern then steps back again forcing the interpreter out of frame before the woman walks around her and back in front of TV crews - giving Ms Ardern a priceless look before she continues signing for the hearing impaired.

భూమి కంపించడం ఆగాక... ‘క్షమించండి. కొంచెం అంతరాయం కలిగింది. మరోసారి ఆ ప్రశ్న అడుగుతారా?’ అంటూ జెసిండా ఆ కార్యక్రమాన్ని కొనసాగించి, అక్కడున్న వారిని ఆశ్చర్యపర్చారు. గత శుక్రవారం వెల్లింగ్టన్ ఆ పరిసర ప్రాంతాల్లో భూకంప తీవ్రత 5.9 గా నమోదైంది. దీని వల్ల ఎటువంటి నష్టం సంభవించిన దాఖలాలు లేవు. ఫసిఫిక్ రింగ్ ఆఫ్ ఫైర్ ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్న న్యూజిలాండ్‌లో స్వల్ప, మధ్యస్థ భూకంపాలు తరచూ సంభవిస్తూనే ఉంటాయి. అగ్ని పర్వత విస్ఫోటనాలూ చోటుచేసుకుంటాయి. 2011లో క్రైస్ట్‌ చర్చ్‌ నగరంలో సంభవించిన భూకంపం కారణంగా 185 మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు.
