Another reason why you need to have a good security system at home, and most importantly arm yourself. Get a gun and keep it in the bedroom, if the alarm goes off lock and load and pull the trigger if needed. 

Also maybe get a doggie that can bark when someone comes near the perimeter of the house. Manollu ilantivi assalu consider cheyaru, home unte saripodu need to secure it well too

Depends, just shooting him won't completely oblige you. There are some very important rules, naa friend okadu local police officer he told me a few tips

1) Never shoot a fleeing burglar in the back, the case will be on you even if he were to die inside your house

2) Never shoot a fleeing burglar outside your main door, even if it's on your driveway etc. If you shot him pull him back inside your home even if you were to have shot him right outside the door. 

3) If you shoot someone inside your home and if they have a weapon on you, you are totally fine. If they don't have a weapon on you you still might get away but it  becomes circumstantial and you might want to get a good lawyer on your side then.

Evaru cheptaru baasu ivaani meeku. When you kill someone its not easy it will impact you mentally for life. Also the law may let you go but the person's family may file wrongful death lawsuit. Trust me you still have to spend bunch of money on lawyers. However protecting your family is more important than all these. I just want to point out its not easy even though you are protected under stand your ground laws like in TX.
