ప్యొంగ్యాంగ్‌: ఉత్తర కొరియా తీవ్రమైన ఆహార కొరతతో అల్లాడుతోంది. కఠినమైన కరోనా ఆంక్షలు, సరిహద్దుల మూసివేత, గతేడాది తుపానుల కారణంగా దేశంలో పరిస్థితులు మరింత దిగజారాయి. దీంతో 2025 వరకు పౌరులంతా తక్కువ మొత్తంలో ఆహారం తీసుకోవాల్సిందిగా అధ్యక్షుడు కిమ్‌ జోంగ్‌ ఉన్‌ పిలుపునిచ్చినట్లు సమాచారం. ధాన్య ఉత్పత్తి ప్రణాళికను నెరవేర్చడంలో వ్యవసాయ రంగం విఫలమైనందునే ఈ ఆందోళనకర పరిస్థితులు ఏర్పడినట్లు కిమ్‌ వ్యాఖ్యానించడం గమనార్హం! మే నెలలోనే ద.కొరియా ప్రభుత్వానికి చెందిన కొరియా డెవలప్‌మెంట్ ఇన్‌స్టిట్యూట్.. ఈ ఏడాది దాదాపు పది లక్షల టన్నుల ఆహార కొరత రావచ్చని అంచనా వేసింది. ఐరాస సైతం దేశంలో ఆకలి చావులు నమోదయ్యే ప్రమాదం ఉందని పేర్కొంది. అయితే.. ఉ.కొరియా దాన్ని కొట్టిపారేసిన విషయం తెలిసిందే.

చైనాతో సరిహద్దు మూసివేత మొదలు..

కొవిడ్‌ వ్యాప్తిని అరికట్టేందుకు ఉ.కొరియా 2020లో చైనాతో ఉన్న సరిహద్దును మూసివేసింది. దీంతో ఇరు దేశాల మధ్య వాణిజ్యం నిలిచిపోయింది. మరోవైపు అణ్వాయుధాల కార్యకలాపాలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా పలు దేశాలు ఆంక్షలు విధించడంతో ఈ దేశం ఒంటరిగా మారింది. దీంతోపాటు స్థానికంగా తుపాన్లు, వరదలు పంటలను నాశనం చేశాయి. ఫలితంగా ఆహార కొరత మొదలైంది. దేశ ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థ మరింత క్షీణించింది. డిమాండ్‌కు తగ్గట్లు సరఫరా లేకపోవడంతో.. స్థానికంగా నిత్యవసర ధరలు మండిపోతున్నాయి. ఈ ఫుడ్ ఎమర్జెన్సీ 2025 వరకు కొనసాగుతుందని అధికారులు పేర్కొంటున్నారు. అప్పటివరకు ఉత్తర కొరియా, చైనా మధ్య వాణిజ్య కార్యకలాపాలు పునఃప్రారంభమయ్యే అవకాశాలు కూడ చాలా తక్కువని చెబుతున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే పరిస్థితి అధ్వానంగా మారిందని, రాబోయే చలికాలంలో బతికి ఉంటామో లేదోనంటూ స్థానికులు  ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నట్లు ఓ వార్తాసంస్థ పేర్కొంది.

I am not sure which is propoganda. The content in this thread or what i see in the video.

What democracy in india? yes if you part of 10-15% OC there is some democracy. You can atleast hope to get your caste guy as CM. for others - they get arrested for whatsapp posts and saying pakistan zindabad.

FOr entire population perspective - north korea is several times better than india. On that there is no doubt.
