Punjab is all set to go to polls in 3 months. BJP do not have any stake in this election, but Congress does. Anduke ie massive price cut.

At this stage, it does not really matter for the level of debts for the incumbent government and for the Incoming government, they do not yet have a reason to maintain or lower the state VAT.
