I phone recover  Chesa…now it’s asking for id and pw to activate the phone .

you dont know apple id used for the phone ? If not the if you have the receipt of when the phone was bought like any kind of proof then you can take the phone to apple store along with proof of purchase and they will remove id lock on the phone.

Use a new account..apple id recovery is a big headache
