2022 many all EVs (elect. veh) are coming up. Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid or EV. Any one seriously buying, if so which one and why ?

Used to be eligible for 7500 rebate but Biden repealed it last month 

It still qualifies for some state rebates

There are state incentives ...also , dealers used to give crazy deals... They may still give.. No one wants that car...ex- you can't park in garage 😊

Battery recall by LG chem/gm, until replaced fire risk hence park out in open as precautionary measure. They are replacing battery for all models

It has questionable safety record ,coupled with notorious GM reputation... They are saved by last recession ... If not, they admitted to directly responsible for 100s of deaths (known) by not admitting and fixing ignition issues. Cars would literally stall on highway and 100s list lives in car rashes in 2000s. No cell phones for drivers to report and no proof but ignition was sespected for long time. By the time govt got all proof and forced GM, 2008 crash came and they declared bankruptcy .

no technology is really close to people's expectations at this point i think.
Regular hybrids (2 ltr engine) gives only 40 mpg, PHEV (Plug in EV) range is so low, its not attactive. The EV serves around 50 or 60 miles, after that its normal engine again. EVs single charge miles range is not great too, difficult to plan for a long drive as the charging time, statiions are not widely available.

So, it seems like better to wait for next set of EV suv come in market.

That’s why don’t but anything until jan 1st 2022. Bill will be mostly approved by Christmas. It is not retroactive unless you are buying any other vechile than tesla or gm as both of the exhausted their tax credits for this year
