One question related to travelling with Gold mates

Suppose there is a family of 4, father, mother, two children aged 8 and 16, both girls. 

They are all naturalized citizens of USA, for the sake of assumption. Or Canada, UK, Germany for suppose.

They are going to visit India (of course with OCI cards) for 1 month.

They have a stop over in Dubai where they can spend 10 hours and go for shopping in Gold souk in Central Dubai.

Question: How much gold can they buy in Dubai before entering Hyderabad, India and return back with all the gold they bought in Dubai. What kind of issues are faced at immigration counter of Hyd?

For adult male no more than 10 grams and adult female no more than 20 grams.

8 yrs girl child excluded. Above 15 am not sure if it's 10 grams or 20 grams.

I don't have immigration experience. Just did some search incase I shop at Dubai and remember these notes.

aren't you talking about shopping at Dubai and customs check about those items??

Buy while coming back from india…. My cousin did and got almost 100g of gold while coming to US

India lo male aithe 20 gms, Female aith 40 Gms....and how they implement this rule anedi oka complicated question. there are so many if's and but's how they calculate this rule.

On top of that, India Hyd airport la I clearly remember seeing the gold weight limits as Male 40 and female 60 grams. But if its for Indian citizens or or will it be applicable for OCI's there is no clarity.

if you are carrying gold bars, STOP it right away. torture kanipistadi...you might get lucky if you are able to smuggle but if you are stopped, sava10gudu khayam

Dubai Souk la designs aithe edichinattu vuntayi kani gold bars ni bracelet, chains laaga kotti istadu...pillalu vunte vallaki oka tulam gold chain, adollaki 2-3 tolas petti chain, males oka bracelet...

Don't look at those rules..and a rules evadu follow avadu...chata bharatam lekka vuntadi.... 

my personal experience, carried 7-8 tolas everytime...never stopped by anyone. But it was in ornamental form...okasari souk la teesukunna, all other times US la. 

However things are different and tough now...saying so, we can easily clear custims with 4-5 tolas.
