Salary Negotiation

Current Company $X/Annum isthunnadu.

New Company $X+$8K offered(yet to negotiate) + 1 position higher

Current company asked $X+$18K and said $X+$12K but no guarantees at all. Also 1 position higher but said no guarantees at all.

Planning to ask New Company $X+$12 and planning to move to new company because its better environment and have basic facilities.

Am I doing right thing? Suggestions appreciated.

Wait.. are you planning to switch companies for just $8K raise?? That comes to about $400 per month after taxes… is the process worth it for just $400??

Market is too hot, 12k is very less to change the job. wait for the right opportunity.
