Na case lo i had sent the docs than they emailed me back to come to the embassy with 140 and 3$ money order 

i went and gave the passport  along with money order oka 10 mins lo visa ichesadu

u need to apply for the nearest Indian embassy bro. Ee emabassy kindaki vasthavo cheppu, google search emergency visa with ur embassy correct link vasthundi. Documents and photo unte email chesthe they will reply in 1day. You need to go in person to get the visa but kid does not need to be there.

Washington embassy aithae mail option ledu annadu so had to drive for 4and half hrs nennu.

one of my friend who lives is austin drove to Houston embassy

if OCI is taking 2-3 months, then I think my option is to apply for e-visa only , but my current travel plan is for 45 days whereas e-tourist visa is giving only 30 days. Are there any ways to extend it?

Not required that is the misconception i had too earlier. I haven’t submitted any doctor letter any other letter requesting that it is an emergency.
