Last week: since you are uploading the passport directly on govt portal vfs(call first 5 mins free after that $2.50 per min) told me contact embassy directly. Embassy has a portal to submit queries and they’ll respond within a day. I got the response within few hours, told me not to wait for confirmation if you are Travelling, if you have uploaded the copy you are good. yesterday : got confirmation. Updated details including your new passport number xxxxxxxxxx have been taken on record. Keep checking on oci status page 1 Quote

Please upload relevant documents as it is mandatory for complete OCI-registration. Please ignore if already uploaded. Quote
