Just looked up last two years stats , averaging around 35 and no century for more than two years. 

His career average dropped by 5 due to last two years form. Yikes

It was better he left captaincy and concentrate more on his game which was better but actually he seems reluctant for it although he quit in limited overs format.

because his form is still there. it looks like the focus is not, sometimes.
