Major expansion underway from 1 million sft to 4 million sft. The pier to pier sprawl/spread would be a 1 km walking distance once completed. December 2022 is the due date for completion. Aim is to handle 34 - 40 million passengers.

All indian airports except delhi crossed capacity almost5 yrs back 

mumbai airport crossed capacity 20 yrs back

2 runways and runways are not an issue for hyd at all need ine more terminal 

in india inly mumbai need 3 runways but we have only one rest all big airports have 2 run ways

4 yrs back 25 gates if i remember it right now its more than 125

Frankly there is no need of warangal airport at least for next 20-25 yrs … develop chesi idle ga pettadam thappa em use ledu … it won’t be a profit making route … probably it will be best for military or some flying school 

with new highway expansion it cut short driving time to hyd drastically… 1.5 hr lo hyderabad velthunnaru from wgl

Anthega....all airports , after fully developed and which are now cash cows are being forced to sell to adani for pennies on dollar - by using ED , CBI cases

Warangal airport will never need an airport. But ie airport airstrip ki Ekua airport ki takuva vuntadi...at the most 1-2 flights per day vunte ekuva...

But we need such airports.... not for civilian transport purposes but for storage, maintenance, hangars etc. Infra kavali...although all these airports which are being built now, it will take another decade at least to see a positive cash flow but infra is what we need.
