Carpet Changing Options

Planning to get my carpet change/upgrade in my house. What are the best options and also what is better option to make sure that paint is not meed up. BTW I am from Texas

Go with vinyl flooring or laminated ..carpet lot of maintenance and not good for health in long term.

planning to change for wood instead of carpet, but hearing that it would damage the paint. so checking f any previous people has done this and what steps those people followed

Call Home Depot and get a quote first.. also try local flooring guys they have lot of options too…. Any day wood flooring is much better than carpet

A good tip is to do your painting first and let it dry completely before installing the carpet.

I came across this old post and wanted to share my experience. When I did mine a while back, I went with a nice plush option that feels great underfoot. For keeping paint off the carpet, I found that laying down a plastic sheet or old blankets really helped. Just make sure to secure the edges so it doesn’t move around while you’re painting.Speaking of cleaning, I had my carpets done by The Steam Team in London after a renovation, and they did an awesome job! They got rid of all the dust and stains, making everything look new again. If you're in Texas, maybe look for a local service that offers similar deep cleaning. It makes a big difference, especially after all the work of changing the carpet.
