They have established many Laws by that time but primarily all were meant to rob Indians of their wealth. But 1857 Revolt ousted them out of power and no British soldier was left by Oct, 1857. But they came back again in late 1858 with 10 times more ammunition and captured India from all directions. But 1857 taught a lesson to the British and they started involving Indians into the Govt formation. More civil institutions were established like Indian Railways, Indian Judiciary, Indian Engineers Institute etc. And promoted English Convent education. Do you think English Convents are for over 20s? By the end of WW-1 in 1918, all Educational Institutes, all Muncipalities, all Civic Corporations had 90% of Indians. Most importantly the BAR Associations of Law Practise had 90% Indians. Where do you think people like Mahatma Gandhi finished their studies? Most of the Front line leaders of Indian Independence struggle like Sardar Patel, Jinnah, Dadabai Nauroji etc were all Lawyers. And they studied and graduated from the schools and colleges established by the British. 1 Quote

Dhavaleswaram Anacut was built around 1840s by a British Engineer which is still feeding AP. British were ready to leave India by 1918 after the end of WW-1 as they had only 10,000 Army left deployed around present day India, SL, B'desh, Pakistan, Nepal, Burma and Singapore plus some parts of Malaysia and China. They know they cannot continue ruling India. But then they saw a soft-sh!t like M Gandhi whose principle of Non-Violence helped British continue their Empire instead of winding up. Gandhi never encouraged Violence and for that reason people like Balgangadhar Tilak, Bhagat Singh and Alluri were branded as terrorists that time. Tell me who is the main benefactor if the Indians adopt Non-Violence? Its obviously the British as they need only a minimal Police to control the dissent arousing from general Indians. 1 Quote
