It was accounting fraud all the way back from 2002 , ramalinga Raju kept cooking books longer and longer until it was no longer possible

Don't know if a model like LC (IMO similar to Starbucks) is a good option in countries like China  especially if their USP was premium coffee.... take india for example even places like coffee day are only frequented by the more fortunate or youth and has not been able to successfully make itself a leader in day to day coffee... Starbucks is much worse in terms of adoption due to higher minimum price
