I bonds. 7.12% interest currently, and inflation is not going to go down anytime soon.

Limit 10K/yr (can put another 10K in spouse account)

In betterment; you can choose how much money you want to invest in stocks vs bonds. Personally; I chose 30% stocks and 70% bonds. Doing this for a couple of years; so far so good.
