I would sell Austin home as it’s already appreciated 200%… which is very big in real estate..

Take equity loan now and sell home/ho es when in India and ur income is comparatively low. Else sale will trigger taxes in the higher US tax bracket.

another slower option to avoid taxes is to sell rental homes and buy many smaller rentals in the US (in FL where there is no state tax also) with 1031 exchange with no tax implications. Then sell the smaller rentals one by one when ur income is low. So even lesser tax impact.
