check the ram slot.....if u ram ...if one slot is empty...then u can but one ram stick and add it..........else u have to dump current ram stick.......and go for  new ram stick

dude if the slots are having 2dimm each then you can opt for a higher..If the 2 ram slots are 1dimm each then you can't!!
