i heard it is better to take a ferry or flight to Culebra (another island) . beaches are much better there.

car rentals have been horrible last year ..i dont think it will be any different now. better to reserve early if you see some deal

If I have to suggest only one thing to do in Puerto Rico, BioBay miss avaddu ani cheptha.

Aug is peak for bio beach … and yes culebra and vieques are best but you need to catch first ferry at 5:30 am and leave by 4:30 or 6:30 else you will be stuck in island…. We explored most dangerous parts also… 3 times so far …food truck places are the best live dance karaoke, tropical rain forest zipline and Sunday San Juan downtown trip is must … food and drinks itey local restaurants are great…5 days is should be a decent trip

Details antey there are south east part of island where you don’t see anything other than local people and no one understands English… with toddler it we went to some beaches latter I got to know from my porto Rico friend that the beaches are where most crime happens …
